Alex Duffin

Kia ora Pinehill whānau,

I’m extremely excited for 2026 and I’m looking forward to supporting another year of growth, confidence, and success for your children. I have a huge interest in reading and maths, and I’m passionate about creating a learning environment where students feel safe to take risks, challenge themselves, and celebrate their achievements.

A big part of my teaching philosophy is building strong relationships. I value open communication and love connecting with whānau to support not only academic progress but also the well-rounded development of each child. In Room 6, we work hard, have fun, and show The Pinehill Way values in everything we do.

I am also the in-school sports coordinator and love seeing students getting involved in sport at all levels, whether competitive, social, or simply giving something new a go.

Outside the classroom, I’m a dad to energetic twin boys, and I’m into a wide range of sports, especially soccer, rugby league, and American football.
