Inspiring active learners and leaders who make a difference

Jenifer Wallace

Nau mai, haere mai, and welcome to Room 8, Year 1 at Pinehill School.
Ko Jenifer tōku ingoa (my name is Jenifer).

Teaching our youngest learners is an absolute joy and privilege. I am passionate about creating a classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. My goal is for each child to develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

I completed my Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching at Massey University in 2022 and have since taught across a range of year levels. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in finance, which strengthened my skills in organisation, reflection, and goal-setting — qualities I now bring into my teaching practice. I also draw on my experiences as a mum to create a warm, nurturing classroom environment where each child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

I am passionate about helping children develop strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while fostering creativity, empathy, and resilience. I believe learning should be engaging, hands-on, and full of discovery, and that every child deserves to feel seen and celebrated for who they are.

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with friends and whānau, doing yoga, reading, drawing, and exploring the outdoors. These activities help me stay grounded, creative, and energised for the classroom.

I look forward to working alongside you and your child this year and building a strong partnership to support their learning journey.
