Inspiring active learners and leaders who make a difference

Room 02

Welcome to Room 2 for 2024.

I am looking forward to welcoming and getting to know your child as they journey through their third year of schooling.

A little about myself:  I am a South Islander originally. I graduated from Otago University and Dunedin College of Education and began my teaching career in Christchurch. Since then, I have taught in Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland. I have taught Year 1 through to Year 5.   My particular focus at this level is in literacy and mathematics.

My husband and I have three children.  Our eldest two children have completed their degree, and our youngest is currently studying at the University of Otago.  As a family we have enjoyed numerous camping holidays over the years – trying to go to a different part of the country each summer.  I also enjoy reading, gardening, playing the piano, going for walks, and spending time with my family and friends.

Pinehill School children are very fortunate to have the Pinehill Way – a core set of values and traits which underscore how we do things at Pinehill.

In my classroom I try to instil a family atmosphere – we are all here to look after each other and help each other.   So, “Welcome, haere mai, to the Room 2 whānau”.
