Shade Structure Blessing – Thursday 6 May @ 2pm

Tue May 04 12:50pm

4th May 2021

Kia ora parents, family, whanau,

I am sure that you have noticed the dynamic new shade structure over our roadside netball court. It has been fascinating for us as a school, as well as the community to watch the process of the structure being built to its completion. Our structure has had the final check-off and is now complete! This area will provide shelter and shade throughout the whole year for sports teams practices, team huis, school sport, break time play, concerts and more.

We would like to invite you to attend a Blessing Ceremony this Thursday 6th May at 2pm. The ceremony will involve a karakia, Kapa Haka waiata, and an opening speech.  Students will be seated in their class groups under the structure.

We hope you and join us and look forward to seeing you there.

Ngā mihi nui,

Carla Veldman / Principal

The Resilience Project Parent Meeting TODAY at 3.15pm in the school hall. Everyone welcome.

Wed Mar 31 11:05am

The Resilience Project

As a school, we are delighted to be delivering The Resilience Project into our classes this year.

Through presentations, student curriculum, teacher resources and digital content, The Resilience Project’s Educational Programme supports mental health in the classroom, staffroom and family home.

We would like to invite you to a parent information meeting on Wednesday 31 March at 3.15 pm to find out more about this project.  The presentation will provide some background on the origins of the programme, an introduction to key resilience pillars and highlight the research, and ways for you to support what the children are learning in the classroom.

Our Principal and Deputy Principals will be on hand to supervise your children while you meet in the hall to hear about the Resilience Project in classroom delivery and how to bring it in at home.

Please drop your child off with Carla Veldman, Rochelle Mabon and Sarah Ward at the library on your way to the hall.
