Reminder – Next week is walking to school week

Fri May 10 03:50pm

Walking to School 2 Week Pizza Challenge

Walking to School 2 Week Pizza Challenge will take place in Week 3 and Week 4. The class that has the most walkers over the two weeks will win $100 worth of pizza for lunch.

Students can earn points by walking all the way or part of the way to school. The simplest way is to walk all the way to school.

However, if they need to come some of the way by car, then there are two drop-off points.
1 – On the corner of Hugh Green Drive and Bundoran Way, from where they walk up Hugh Green Drive and in the front gates.
2 – On the corner of Spencer Road and Maidstone Place, from where they walk along Spencer Road and in the top gate at the drop-off zone.

Students who are dropped off at the drop-off zone, or in front of school will not earn house points.

They will be met close to the gates by House Leaders who will give them stickers to add to their class chart.

Walking to school is a great way for students to get fit, and talk with their friends. It will also free up the streets around the school by taking some cars off the road which will improve the environment for all of our regular walkers.

House Leaders

ROAD PATROL HELPERS REQUIRED – Monday Afternoon and Wednesday Morning Parent Help Required.

Tue Apr 30 04:56pm

We are currently looking for adults who would like to help once a week supervise our school patrol – either on a Wednesday morning from 8:25 – 8:50 am or a Monday afternoon from 2:45 – 3:10pm. You don’t need to have a child doing road patrol or even in Year 6, just a willingness to help.
Each duty patrol is typically made up of two students (with one designated the leader) and a supervising adult.
We couldn’t do this job without you!

School Carpark Gates – NO PARKING

Fri Mar 01 09:59am

Hi,

Please do not use our school front gates as a drop off and pick up zone. We have several alternatives that are safe to use.

We ask that you kindly park in a side street, down Hugh Green Drive and walk to meet your child/ren or use our layby on Spencer Road.

Thank you for understanding.

Culture Parade and Shared lunch tomorrow. The Parade will begin at 11:00am.

Wed Feb 28 02:28pm

Your child is invited to come to school dressed in clothing that reflects their culture/s.

A shared lunch will follow.  Students are invited to bring a small plate of food (representing food from their culture) to school.  This can go directly to the classroom as children arrive on Friday.  Teachers will have an area set aside for this. We are unable to provide heating for food with the day’s timetable and events going on, so you may prefer to drop off a dish closer to lunch time already cooked and heated and ready for students to sample. Please list ingredients for our students who have allergies. We will be encouraging students to try something different.  We hope as many of you as possible are able to join us for both the parade and shared lunch celebration.
