Most of my teaching journey has been with older students. These formative years are filled with curiosity, growth, and the development of independence, and I am passionate about helping students take ownership of their learning journeys. Essential traits I aim to foster are resilience, independence, and accountability.

I believe learning should take place in a warm, friendly, and supportive environment, and my classroom embodies these values. I strive to create an inclusive space where every student feels valued, safe, and inspired to take risks in their learning.

Outside the classroom, I am a parent of four. My daughter is studying a Biomedical degree at the University of Auckland, two of my sons are at Rangitoto College, and my youngest son is in year eight. In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, swimming, and horse riding.

I look forward to getting to know you and your child, and I am excited about the year ahead.
